Ben Finley & Art Clay forty-nine years ago founded an organization called the National Brotherhood of skiers, (NBS.org), a very prestigious organization. The mission of the NBS is to: “To identify develop and support athletes of color who will win International and Olympic winter sports competitions representing the United States.” They are still committed to their vision and mission and still attend the NBS Black Ski Summit’s to this day. Let’s open the curtains and applaud these gentlemen, let the world know who they are and honor them around the world.
During the week of February 4 – February 11, 2023, in Vail, CO the NBS will be celebrating their 50th Anniversary. Let's salute Ben Finley & Art Clay for forty-nine years of dedication and commitment to their vision and mission.
A common statement shared among those who are not versed in worldly things is "black people don't ski.” Let’s dispel this myth. News flash, the world need know that Black people do ski. Sign up NBS.org.
